Testimonials from The Patio
Garden customers
"Being retired, I enjoy woodworking projects. I purchased the instructions
for The Patio Garden and built it as a donation for a nearby rest home.
I found the instructions very detailed and easy to follow. The provided
"shopping list" was convenient for the trip to the lumber yard."

"Planting and maintaining a vegetable or flower
garden is an ideal
activity for any program servicing older adults. Gardening offers
limitless opportunities for memory stimulation, sensory stimulation
(touching and smelling the soil and plants) and also offers a sense
of accomplishment. The elevated Patio Garden eliminates the kneeling,
bending, and stooping that is so difficult and many times impossible
for older adults. Using the Patio Garden allows them to sit in wheel
chairs or regular chairs, use their walkers, or even use the boxes for
support. This allowed all of our clients to participate in gardening
activities regardless of their mobility status."

"No more uncomfortable bending at the waist to reach
the ground from my
wheelchair was my first thought when I saw the Patio Garden. It worked out
so well I have TWO Patio Gardens. Especially growth-friendly for herbs and
shallow-rooted vegetables like lettuce, spinach, snow peapods etc. Easy
to weed, water and harvest. Sturdy!"
